The bar pilots' boats head out right past the pier to meet the ships, and from these six tables you see the whole thing.

Our story
He was sixteen, looking at the sea from a village called Akres.
Konstantinos Macheras decided on America from a mountainside in Greece. He crossed the Atlantic, came up the Columbia by boat, cut timber in the logging camps, and spent a working life in Alaska restaurants. Then the family came back to this coast, and his son Angelo opened this restaurant in his honor. It's named for his village, and some of what's on our menu came out of his kitchens.
