Getting here

Follow the Riverwalk until you hit 12th Street.

The Riverwalk runs along the water the whole length of downtown. When you get to 12th Street you'll see Pier 12 reaching out over the river. Walk out to the end and you're at our door.

If you're driving, put 1 12th Street into any map app and it will bring you right to the pier.

Parking

Where to leave the car

The building has its own parking lot. We share it with the other businesses in the building, so on busy days a spot can be hard to come by.

Downtown fills up on summer weekends, so give yourself a few extra minutes. If you're staying in town, we'd suggest walking, because the Riverwalk is the nicer way to arrive.

Choose your view

Five places to sit, and nearly all of them have a view.

Pick your area when you reserve on Yelp and we'll seat you there. If you're walking in, tell us at the door. On a full night we can't promise a particular spot, but we'll always try.

  • Guests on the covered deck at sunset, the bridge and the river beyond the railing

    The deck

The deck sits out over the water on the sunset side, under a roof, so you can sit here with a Manhattan and watch the ships whether it's raining or not. Bring a coat anyway, because it's the Columbia.

Seven tables · Covered · Dogs welcome

  • Pilot-boat seating: a row of tables along the windows, with the river outside and the kitchen's service window on the blue wall

    Pilot-boat seating

The red building across the water is the Columbia River Bar Pilots' station. Their boats head out right past the pier on their way to meet the ships, and from these tables you see the whole thing. It's the place to sit if you like boats, which around here is most people.

    Six tables · River side

  • The main dining room in daylight: banquettes and wooden tables under a timber ceiling, with the river and the hills through the big windows

    Main dining

This is the middle of the house, between the deck and the bar, with the river in view. It includes the lounge, with sofas by the fireplace, where you can have a drink while you wait to be seated. It's warm and dry whatever the weather is doing, and the easy choice for a long dinner or a group of four or five.

Indoors · River view · Signature Greek Specials Friday–Sunday

  • The bar in daylight: eight leather stools along a white tiled counter, with wine racked on the wall behind

    The bar

The bar is the closest you can sit to our myth-inspired house cocktails being made. It's a good spot if you're on your own, or if the two of you only came for a drink and something small.

    Eight seats · Walk-in only

  • The large-party area: long white banquettes down both sides of the room, with tables between them

    Large parties

This is where we seat a crowd, set apart from the rest of the dining room. It trades the river view for a more private spot, so you can make a toast, pass the platters and be as loud as you like. People book it for birthdays, rehearsal dinners and the whole crew at the end of the season. For parties and deposits, see private events.

Dogs, kids and getting in

Bring everybody.

  • Dogs are welcome on the deck, and since it's covered they stay as dry as you do. Service animals are welcome anywhere in the restaurant.
  • Kids are welcome. We don't print a kids menu, so ask your server and they'll tell you what we can make for them.
  • Access. There's a ramp into the building for wheelchairs, and the restroom is accessible. If there's anything else we should sort out before you arrive, such as a particular table or getting in from the lot, call and we'll help.

Weather

The deck in the rain

A drizzle doesn't close the deck, which is good, because this is Astoria. On the stormiest days we may close it for everyone's sake. If the forecast looks wild, call ahead and we'll tell you what's open.
